AMEA's Story

Hi I'm Halayna, the founder of AMEA.

I began creating my candles during my time as a new mom, when the special time at home with my daughter became the most meaningful parts of my day. Lighting a candle in the evening after a busy day quickly became a ritual of mine, creating the cozy ambiance I needed to unwind. When I first began crafting my goal was simple: I wanted something that smelled amazing but was also made with clean ingredients I felt good about having in my home.

Every product is thoughtfully sourced and crafted in small batches in Victoria, BC. My products are made with a clean coconut soy wax blend and custom fragrance blends sourced locally on Vancouver Island, all of which are phthalate- and paraben-free, vegan, and cruelty-free. Each candle is finished with a clean-burning cotton wick free from lead and zinc. Every scent is carefully tested to create a, fresh, and rich smelling atmosphere.

I work hard to create beautiful products that bring warmth and comfort into everyday life. It's the small joys like a delicious smelling home that add to our overall happiness. Life can feel overwhelming at times, my hope is that my candles become a moment of joy, and self-care in your day. 

At the heart of it all is the idea that our homes should feel like a place of rest, comfort, and connection. Whether you’re lighting a candle at the end of a long day, sharing a meal with loved ones, or enjoying a quiet moment to yourself, I hope these products help to make you and your spaces feels just a little more special.
